NLArts turned 10 this year, and we want to celebrate in a huge way!
Join us August 31st for a community dinner at Liberty Lands.

Your ticket will include photobooth, a full dinner, drinks, and dessert!

Campers will work hard this August to make individual plates, napkins, and silverwear.
NLArts campers will perform and help throughout the night!
Make new friends, look at some art, and maybe even take some home!

Music Monkey Jungle – 10:00 to 10:30am

Mondays — Whether we’re performing Music Monkey Jungle Drummers or The Music Monkey Jungle Sing Along, we know you’ll have a rockin’ good time! To know exactly what’s performed, please visit our Facebook page.
Thursdays —The Music Monkey Jungle Jam is a 30 minute interactive performance for music monkeys who love to rock, roll, move, groove, bounce, bop and jam. Children and adults will have a rockin’ good time through the presentation of Music Monkey Jungle original songs, dances and games, with the added greatness of drums and mini maracas. The MMJ Jam is best suited for children between the ages of 5 months to 5 years.
$10 per child
The Music Monkey Jungle Member Card is available for purchase at The Children’s Boutique, Momo’s Treehouse or Primp & Play and will be accepted in all 6 MMJ performance locations.
$85 for 10 performances, no expiration and a Music Monkey Jungle CD.

NLArts Summer Camp Registration Open! Wed, 08 Mar 2017 18:09:11 +0000 NLArts, our neighborhood’s own amazing children’s summer arts camp, is open for registration for its 10th Anniversary season!

Based in the NLNA’s Community Center at 3rd & Fairmount, NLArts offers wonderful programming during the “gap weeks” of Aug 14 – Sep 1, when other camps shut down but school hasn’t started.

The Annual Plant Sale is Saturday May 6, with prep on Thursday and Friday – May 4th and 5th.

Who wants to play with plants this year? Volunteer to hang out with neighbors while putting together this annual event (that started with a couple of beach chairs and plants on Spring Garden Street!).

Sunday, Jan 1 — Naked, De-tinsled, De-balled Christmas Trees will be accepted for drop-off in the picnic area of Orianna Hill Park at Poplar & Orianna Streets.

Folks can drop off at any time.

Saturday, Jan 7 — Trees will be chipped at 11am, 1pm, and 3pm! Bring the kids!

During chipping hours, we could use people to take donations and pull trees to the chipper. To volunteer email

Also, due to chipping noise and tree-prunning, the Dog Park will be closed that day.

Jan 8 to 15 — Trees will continue to be accepted for drop-off
at Orianna Hill Park picnic area.

Gravy Studio & Gallery is proud to present Parade of Spirits: Portraits, by photographer Neil Kohl. The Parade of Spirits is an annual community event that celebrates the folklore surrounding The Krampus. The images in this series are of the event participants, who are often dressed in elaborate handmade costumes.
