About the Show "It's Always Sunny in the Gingerbread House" reimagines the classic Grimm fairy tale as an accessible introduction to opera, set in modern-day Philadelphia. Follow Hansel and Gretel as they wander from their South Philly row home into the depths of Fairmount Park, where they discover a magical gingerbread house adorned with Philadelphia soft pretzels, cheesesteaks, and water ice! This delightful adaptation celebrates Philadelphia's rich culture, iconic landmarks, and vibrant arts scene.
