Commercial Bus Operations Update

On Wednesday night officials from the Office of Transportation, Infrastructure and Sustainability (OTIS) and the Philadelphia Parking Authority (PPA) presented their proposal to move commercial bus operations to a consolidated, more permanent location in the parking lot beside the Lukoil gas station on Spring Garden Street.

The proposed move will add ten bus slips for Greyhound, Flix, Megabus and Peter Pan, two ticket offices, a waiting lobby and permanent bathrooms serving up to 120 people. In the current iteration of the proposal, buses will enter the lot via N Beach Street and leave via Spring Garden Street.

Under the proposed plan, the bus station would open this summer and be managed by the PPA.
