Have You seen us cleaning?
EXCITING NEWS!
The NLNA has been awarded a grant from the PHL Taking Care of Business (TCB) Clean Corridors Program, championed by Mayor Parker. This program creates employment opportunities for local residents and keeps Philadelphia’s neighborhood commercial corridors clean. PHL TCB Cleaning Ambassadors are champions of litter reduction and environmental care citywide. The NLNA Board applied for this grant as a way to address the significant increase in litter along Spring Garden and in Madison Memorial Park as a result of the bus operations in that area.
Cleaning Ambassadors from ACAM Management started cleaning last week. They will be working 4 days per week along Spring Garden Street from Columbus Blvd to 2nd Street, from 5th to 9th and in Madison Memorial Park. The NL BID cleaning crew will continue to cover Springs Garden from 2nd to 5th.
If you see the ACAM team in their bright green NLNA shirts, please say hello and thank them for beautifying our neighborhood. We have already seen a dramatic change as reflected in these photos
